Llucmajor & Surroundings
Coast and countryside south of Palma
The Llucmajor region forms the southern hinterland of Palma, combining established coastal urbanisations with substantial inland farmland. Llucmajor town itself is one of the largest in the south of the island; Sa Torre, Son Verí Nou, Vallgornera, Cala Pi, Cala Blava and Badia Gran extend the region's coastal reach.
The coastal villages here developed primarily in the 1980s and 1990s and offer a different proposition to the Southwest: substantial single-storey villas on flat plots, walkable distances to the sea, established gardens and a calmer, more residential atmosphere. Property values are noticeably more accessible than the Southwest while still delivering proximity to the airport (twenty minutes), Palma (twenty-five minutes) and direct motorway access to the rest of the island.
Inland, the region opens into significant agricultural land and is home to a growing pipeline of contemporary country houses on large plots. The historic Capocorb Vell prehistoric settlement, the cliffs of Cap Blanc and the natural beaches around Cala Pi shape the wider character of the area.
For buyers seeking practical, well-connected coastal or country property at sensible values, the Llucmajor region offers a strong balance of access, space and price.
